Lasting Horizons

Editorial policy

Lasting Horizons aims to make long-term choices easier to think through, not to promise that any object, material or habit will last forever. We make claims carefully and correct the record when needed.

Accuracy and clarity

Writers should use dependable information suited to the claim, check names and factual details, and explain uncertainty where it matters. We distinguish description from recommendation and avoid unsupported promises about lifespan, performance or impact. When a topic depends on specialist judgment, safety requirements or local rules, we keep the limits clear rather than presenting a general article as a substitute.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for their usefulness and relevance to readers. A commercial relationship does not determine an editorial conclusion, and we do not promise favourable coverage in exchange for payment, access or a partnership.

Corrections

Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review specific, actionable reports and correct verified mistakes with wording that makes the change clear. If a correction materially changes the meaning of a piece, we say so in the article.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or partner material is labelled clearly where it appears, so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations are AI-generated; when used, they are identified as such and are not evidence of a product, place or event.

Our point of view

The future belongs in the first question

A choice is not only about how it works today. We look at what it asks of its owner over time, and whether it can keep earning its place.
